Blakemore Fresh Foods began life as part of the butchery department at A.F. Blakemore’s Cash & Carry depot in Walsall.
By the mid-1980s a decision was made to move this operation to the company’s new purpose-built headquarters at the Long Acre Industrial Estate.
Since then Blakemore Fresh Foods has never looked back and is now classed as a separate division within the A.F. Blakemore group.
The company has a turnover in excess of £17-million and is one of the leading meat wholesalers in the country.
